Discover Waitomo’s Underworld!

New Zealand is just as awesome below ground as it is above! Here are a few shots from a recent shoot at the Ruakuri Cave in Waitomo. After producing these photos, I was lucky enough to be invited back to take part in all their adventure tours as part of a recce for another shoot – what an amazing experience! A must do for anyone visiting New Zealand! Just a quick blog this time – keep an eye out for bigger Waitomo caves one in the future!

Another year over… Bring on 2015!

What another incredible year! I’ve been back to the South Island, spent time back home and visited New York! This time last year I was struggling to break into the Auckland photography scene – 1 year on and I have some of the best clients I’ve ever had! This year my photography took a turn as I focused more on landscapes and stock images! I still shoot my usual portraits and events but I’m enjoying experimenting in new areas of photography. Next year I will continue to build on my New Zealand client base and concentrate more on tourism photography. As I …

New Zealand Landscapes: Tekapo to Milford Sound

My trip to the South Island was primarily to shoot for Jucy Rentals (see blog) however it also served another purpose. After spending 9 months in Auckland, a trip back to the South Island was definitely needed. As much as I love Auckland, I came to New Zealand for the epic landscapes (you know, the ones you see in Lord of the Rings). I needed to reignite my love for New Zealand and prove to myself why I have decided to live here for a few more years. 9 days later I have successfully achieved that, this country never ceases to …

See you around Freeman! (That's his name)

Cruising the South Island with Jucy Rentals!

What an awesome 9 days with Jucy Rentals! It’s been great to do some photography for such a prestiges rental company. As many people will tell you, the best way to see New Zealand is in a campervan. Travelling in a camper gives you so much freedom and flexibility, there are so many hidden spots that you can visit and explore in your own time. I wouldn’t travel any other way! I am lucky enough to have travelled the South Island on multiple occasions but this was my first experience with Jucy. After landing in Christchurch and picking up our …

Some photos from the 2014 Firefighter Stair Challenge

Today more than 700 firefighters from around the country took part in the Sky Tower stair climb. The challenge sees firefighters race up the 1,103 stairs of the tower wearing 25kg of equipment to help raise funds for Leukemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand. Congratulations to all the firefighters who took part… that is some achievement!! I went down this morning to take some shots for SKYCITY. Check them out!  The amount raised is now over $865,000 – the Sky Tower thermometer is going up! Hopefully we will hit the 1 million dollar mark! Here is a quick shot from tonight (possibly the best skyline photo …
