My first NZ Billboard: SKYCITY Auckland

Last week my first billboard went up in Auckland – a very proud moment for Shaun Jeffers Photography! I thought that this would be a good opportunity to explain my work process when I am on a job for a client. I’ve been working with SKYCITY for just over a year now so when they brought me onboard for this project I wanted to do something a little different. Luckily enough the advertising agency, Colenso BBDO had the same idea – they wanted something that had never been seen before, something that was going to make people stop and look. …

Shaun Jeffers Photography Westhaven Harbour Bridge Dusk

Auckland Harbour Bridge

So after weeks of failed attempts I finally took a good shot of the Harbour Bridge down at Westhaven. Client is happy, I’m happy. Sorted! The shot, along with a couple of my other photos will feature on the new Gaulter Russell website. Gaulter Russell is a company based in Parnell, Auckland specialising in sales and marketing recruitment – it’s great to be working with them and I look forward to finishing off their staff portraits this week. After heading out at least twice a week for the past 5 weeks and coming back with nothing, I had lost a little motivation. …

Some photos from the 2014 Firefighter Stair Challenge

Today more than 700 firefighters from around the country took part in the Sky Tower stair climb. The challenge sees firefighters race up the 1,103 stairs of the tower wearing 25kg of equipment to help raise funds for Leukemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand. Congratulations to all the firefighters who took part… that is some achievement!! I went down this morning to take some shots for SKYCITY. Check them out!  The amount raised is now over $865,000 – the Sky Tower thermometer is going up! Hopefully we will hit the 1 million dollar mark! Here is a quick shot from tonight (possibly the best skyline photo …

Cunard Queen Elizabeth visits Auckland

Cunard Queen Elizabeth visited Auckland this week and I jumped at the opportunity to photograph her on the other side of the world! It’s always great to shoot any of the Cunard fleet – I’m looking forward to photographing all 3 liners in Liverpool next year for the 175th Anniversary! Check out a few of my shots! Big thanks to the cruise terminal for letting me in to get a few of the photos! Next up… the Cunard Queen Victoria is in in March, the only Cunard I haven’t photographed! Check out Shaun Jeffers Photography for more PR, commercial and event photography.
